Check out what's happening at LMS lately...
Congratulations to our 8th grade volleyball team for their win as the NE8 Champions against South Range! We geared up to cheer the girls on with a student-led 7th and 8th grade pep rally on Wednesday. Big thanks to Sammi O. for planning, organizing, and executing the event. The cheerleaders taught some of our football players a cheer and jump while Mr. Chronister, Mr. Baker, and Mr. Facciolo acted as judges. The winning squad then faced off against our 7th grade volleyball team and our cross country team in a relay race.
Senior class student, Dino H., jumped in with Mrs. Russell and Mrs. Ramey to teach a lesson in sixth grade math. Mrs. Russell gave Dino the standard she wanted him to cover and he prepped for how to teach the younger students. Great job, Dino! Thanks for helping out at LMS.
I ran into some students that were diligently working in their Writer's Notebooks in the commons this week. One student had written nearly 50 pages of a story that they were proud to share.
This week was the LMS Book Fair. Our students purchased so many great books! The LMS PTO parent reps ran the book fair for us and Mr. Mild helped out by giving up half the gym to accommodate the sale.
On the other side of the gym divider, students participated in corn hole games in gym class.
Students had access to apples from a local producer in the cafeteria on Thursday. This program was offered through a grant funded under the National School Lunch Program.
